Joops Hotel is located in the heart of the historical centre of Haarlem under the impressing BAVO-church. The whole hotel is decorated with antiques from all over the world. The companion apartment building De Arendshoek is situated around the corner from the hotel and features apartments as well as some more hotel rooms.
Bar De Gouverneur has been well-known for years and years in Haarlem and in this ambiance with character you can enjoy a drink and a snack.
Should you stay in Haarlem, you would have a good starting point for trips to Amsterdam (where you can go shopping on Sundays as well), the beach of Bloemendaal or Zandvoort (of which the latter has a casino as well), the flowerpark De Keukenhof in Lisse (open from March till May) and national park De Kennemer Duinen (dunes of Kennem) for hiking or cycling trips (bicycle rental in the vicinity of the hotel).
The yearly recurring events are definitely worth visiting as well: the flower parade, Dance Valley, Culinary Haarlem and Haarlem Jazz. The reception staff will gladly inform you further.
Between December 11th and 24th guests will not be able to use the elevator in the apartment building because of a renovation.
